Lab Developed (Hydropower Simulation Lab.)

Hydropower Simulation laboratory at Water Resources Development and Management Dept. was developed by me in 2015, through research project grants, with asynchronous and synchronous generators, multi-level power electronic converters, DS1102, DS1104, OP4200 digital signal processors/simulators, power quality analyzers, programmable power supplies, and digital storage oscilloscopes. It is committed for the research in support with national organizations including THDC India Limited, Central Power Research Institute, Dept. of Science of Technology, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, and Indian Maritime University (Vishakhapatnam).  The laboratory has signed an MoU with CDAC-T for Full Spectrum Simulator (Mini) program under the support of National Mission on Power Electronics Technology (NaMPET), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

National Workshop Organized (NWPE 2017)

The fourth National Workshop on Power Electronics on the theme  Strengthening Grid Energy Storage Through Power Electronics -Challenges and Research Opportunities” under the aegis of National Mission on Power Electronics Technology (NaMPET-II)  was  organized by the Hydropower Simulation Laboratory of Department of Water Resources Development and Management, IIT Roorkee during October 9-11, 2017. There were 77 participants from industry, research organizations, user agencies and educational institutions in India  participated in this three days event along with 3 stalls for industry  for product/technology exhibitions.
